New Inspiration
I’ve been looking for a picture to pattern a part of the book on. I think I found a great one. Check it out.

I’d like to introduce you to a character that you haven’t bet yet. This is 1stLt Gracie…or as I like to call her, Nurse Gracie. She is going to prove herself vital to the fight.
A tast of chapter 13
We sat there looking back and forth at each other almost sensing what the others were thinking. Verbal communication would have almost been less effective. What the heck was this? Whatever it was, it seemed to fade and left a splitting headache in it’s place.
The General calmly opened the door and came back to his seat behind the desk. “The case. Yes, you wanted to know about it and I can see it’s still on your minds. It contains the product of years of covert research. We actually laced the pages from the George Hill packet with it. You would have absorbed small amounts of it through your skin. It wares off rather abruptly using that method and leaves you, well, less than yourselves. You see your bodies are fighting off the compound because you got such a small dose. I suspect you may loose consciousness in the next thirty minutes if the dose isn’t increased. Death will probably take you in about an hour after that. You see the only way to fight off the contagion is to kill the host. So this case is the end to your torment and comes only by accepting your commission.”
“My conditions from before still stand.”
“Even now, as you slump in your chair from the pain, you cling to those conditions? You never lost them. I simply need to know you’re with me when I need you. Just sign your name on the commission document.”
“You have my word. Now make it stop…..” ,I gasped as I scratched my name to the document.
Jared slumped over against the wall as Sam fell out of his chair and ceased moving. The General opened the case and took out a large vial of liquid. Out of his desk he took a large syringe and filled it. “Your unconscious men first” ,he said injecting Sam, refilling the syringe, and injecting Jared. They started twitching. I didn’t pay much attention, though, because I was starting to black out but fought it with everything I had. “…and now the rest for you, Mr. Chetwood. This will be an extra large dose for my new Lead Operative.”

Think hostages, leveling an one star general, sent on a mission that brings us back in line with Uprising: USA, and catching a four star general in a sniper crossfire should anything go down. Oh, but the list of surprises the come of it…..Becoming one of the pack….and starting our own….yeah. Oh, and can I just say….ya gotta love Google Earth.

It’s official. White Feather wants the manuscript by the first of the year so I’m going to spend more time writing. I won’t be adding any more of the book to the site but you will still get updates on how things are going. Right now I wanted to share a few of the pictures that I took around Glenwood and the surrounding area as inspiration for the book.

The title says it all. I sent part of chapter 12 to the publisher as I mentioned earlier. I got an email reply tonight. Check this out.

I read chapter 12 and it was very good, worthy of the “Uprising” name.
What is your status on the manuscript? Is it complete?
I may be sitting here typing but I’m jumping up and down on the inside. Now I just need to finish writing it.

How awesome is that? I’m pretty excited and I even started the “bugging” process today. I sent him a part of chapter 12 that I just finished up last night. Needs editing, naturally but exciting nonetheless.
Anyway the work moves forward.
Writing continues
I did some more writing this weekend. It needs to be edited but I think its pretty good stuff. I even got a start on chapter 12. I have some surprises in store for chapter 12 and even a return of the Ogre. If you’ve read Uprising USA you will recognize it but we’ll find out the back story the Ogre didn’t know. It’s going to be an exciting write.
Don’t worry I know you are only on chapter 7. I’ll get you some more edited content. I just have to search out pictures for some of it. I even have a few I’ll be adding that I took myself last month. So stay tuned. Tell your friends. Send over some great comments and we’ll have some fun with this.
